Hello, and Welcome!

My name is Tim Paine, a landscape photographer based in Maryville, Tennessee. Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but in recent years it has taken on deeper meaning. I have learned to slow down, photograph with greater intention, reflect on both successes and failures, and experience the quiet presence of God through creation.

I photograph nature in many forms, from sweeping landscapes and intimate macro details to long exposures and underwater scenes. Whether exploring new places or returning to familiar ones, I have found that nature consistently reveals moments of order, beauty, and wonder that feel intentionally designed and meant to be noticed. I am deeply grateful to live near the Great Smoky Mountains, a place that embodies much of what I love to photograph. Still, no matter the location, meaningful images can be found when we take the time to truly look.

I am passionate about capturing the outdoors in a way that encourages others to step outside and experience it for themselves. At 60 years old, and after facing several orthopedic challenges, I have come to appreciate that powerful encounters with nature do not require extreme effort. Some of the most meaningful moments come through stillness, patience, and simply being present in what God has made. Thank you for taking the time to view my website today.
